Join us as Software Engineer of our ISG Software and Hardware Engineering Rotation Program within the Infrastructure Solutions Group team in possible locations of Round Rock, Texas to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. The Software and Hardware Engineering Rotation Program allows for candidates new to Software engineering and/or infrastructure technology solutions to join a fast-paced, dynamic organization in a streamlined process that encourages learning and growth. The program consists of multiple rotations to allow new hires the ability to learn across different projects, solutions, and specific tasks needed to bring our products to market. Built into the program are key opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and support from across the organization. As a Software Engineer of our ISG Software and Hardware Engineering Rotation Program, you will be supported by technical subject matter experts, mentors and peer advisors that will provide day to day support, grow your Dell network, and assimilate you into the Dell and ISG culture. You will:

• Develop, test and integrate code for new or existing software while following source code revision control
• Troubleshoot software reliability and performance issues
• Review requirements, specifications and designs, developing and implementing tests for product quality and performance assurance
• Assist with the development and review of (technical) end user documentation

• Technical "hands on" position in a fast-paced delivery-oriented environment
• Knowledge with Linux internals, embedded software/firmware, and operating system concepts
• Knowledge in C/C++ and recent scripting experience in with Python or Bash, Go, Jaca Script and Groovy
• Ability to understand, triage, and debug Linux multi-threaded applications and strong knowledge of Embedded firmware projects such as Yocto or OpenBMC
• Capacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experience Desirable Requirements
• Good communication skills to be able to articulate complex solutions and demonstrate string drive for results
