Sightline Climate accelerates the deployment of climate tech solutions by providing clients with industry leading insights, data, analytics, and research on both technologies and markets. Sightline’s subscription intelligence platform gives investors, corporates, and governments the insights they need to anticipate developments and confidently build and finance the new climate economy. Sightline Climate also produces CTVC, the industry-leading newsletter read by 60,000 climate leaders.

We are looking for a Product Designer to expand and guide our product development at Sightline Climate. This role includes creating innovative and user-friendly designs for our platform.

The Role

• Prototype and design new features for the Sightline Climate platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
• Create data visualizations, concept illustrations or infographics to elucidate complex topics.
• Conduct user research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our users, and integrate into designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to develop and implement design solutions that align with business objectives.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, providing thought leadership and reinforcing Sightline Climate’s position as the go-to source in climate tech market intelligence.
• Stay updated on latest design best practices to incorporate into Sightline Climate’s product designs.
• Stay current on climate tech trends to anticipate client needs and design objectives.
  
  

The Essentials

• Experience in product design, particularly in creating user-centric designs for technology platforms.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Excellent visual design skills with an eye for detail and a passion for creating intuitive user experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting design concepts and solutions clearly.
• An ability to explore and understand the commercial and economic implications of design decisions.
• Innately curious and passionate about climate tech innovation.

• Experience with B2B software platforms.
• Working understanding of climate tech and/or adjacent topics.
• Experience with print design.
• A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
