IT Operations Associate

Sweetgreen is seeking an IT Operations Associate to serve as the steward of our core Identity and Access applications (Entra ID) and custodian for our Corporate office equipment & hardware - helping our Corporate environments —remain secure, reliable, and high-performing as we continue to shape the future of food.
ABOUT THE JOB
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Corporate IT Operations (both hardware & software), with in-scope applications including;

Microsoft Entra ID
-
Google Enterprise Suite / Google Workspace
-
Intune (for Corporate Asset Management)
-
LogMeIn
-
ServiceNow; IT Service Management (“ITSM”) & Configuration Management & Databases (“CMDB”) modules
-
Corporate windows & mac laptop management, and Google meet/chrome meeting room devices
Responsibilities for this role include;
-
Helping manage and coordinate User Identify & Access management for our SaaS applications
-
Onboarding applications into SSO
-
Managing dynamic group rules
-
Create, develop and implement a schedule for continuous patch management for corporate devices

Helping administer legal holds and the necessary documentation retention process
-
Automate manual processes wherever possible through scripting (e.g. Workato, Powershell, Python etc.)

Conducting tech onboarding sessions for new Corporate joiners
The following skills, experience and abilities will help you be successful in this role:
-
Deep experience in Microsoft Entra ID for User Identify and Access management + any relevant certifications
-
Certification in Google Workspace Administrator Fundamentals and a comprehensive knowledge of capabilities offered through Google Workspace

Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 with moderate ability to administer the platform

Working knowledge of REST APIs and their usage

Workflow automation using platforms like Workato

Strong ability to automate and scale solution development using command line scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Powershell

Project management & documentation using Atlassian’s JIRA & Confluence platforms

Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) and adding to Knowledge Base articles

Experience managing and administering windows and mac laptops & other relevant corporate devices
-
Ability and desire to experiment and adopt AI / LLM capabilities to enhance & execute core responsibilities

Partner with other engineering teams to maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) standards, ensuring consistent, automated, and secure deployment of IT and identity services.
A successful candidate is an experienced IT operations professional who knows systems and network administration, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting. They follow proven service practices like ITIL.
You won’t be working alone—Sweetgreen’s support center and resources will be there to help you and the whole team. This job is meant for people who prefer steady, organized work, not constant crisis management. You’ll be expected to handle problems that come up and put solutions in place so they don’t happen again. In this role, you’ll grow your skills and become more versatile. You’ll work with a supportive and energetic team who will help you develop, meet challenges, and succeed together.
