The CRM Manager at Sweetgreen will play a key role in executing and managing multichannel campaigns—including email, push, in-app, and SMS—across our customer engagement platform, Braze. This role will also be responsible for configuring and managing promotions within braze and SessionM. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CRM campaign operations and be comfortable working cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and impactful customer communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of all lifecycle CRM campaigns across channels, including journeys, triggered messages, and transactional communications.
  • Oversee the review, feedback, routing, and QA of lifecycle campaigns across email, SMS, and push, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Create audiences within ESP/Promo Platform segmentation tools or import targeted lists, versioning/creating control groups as necessary.
  • Coding and Design: Utilize HTML, CSS, and other programming languages to create visually appealing and responsive email templates that are compatible across various email clients and devices.
  • Deliverability: Monitor email deliverability metrics and take necessary actions to ensure high inbox placement rates
  • Integrate dynamic content and personalization elements (knowledge of liquid code and AMP a plus)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (Brand, marketing, loyalty, retail, etc.) to meet target deadlines; excellence in project and time management skills required.
  • Ensure testing & QA / rendering by device, operating system, browser, etc. Proof contact strategy elements as needed.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Maintain customer contact & deployment calendars and work with the creative team to ensure all campaigns are planned, executed, and completed.
  • Manage subscriber data, import and segmentation using a combination of platform tools and database queries. Ensure data integrity of customer records in the platform; spot-checking and conducting hygiene scrubs as required.

Qualifications:

  • In summary, this role requires a blend of technical proficiency in coding, data analysis skills to drive successful email marketing campaigns and optimize their performance
  • Responsible for coding clean, responsive HTML emails, building template-based emails, as well as coding for dynamic content and automation
  • Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level CRMs, particularly Braze and SessionM
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM laws.
  • MJML coding and development experience is nice to have but not required
  • campaigns from production and deployment to QA of email/push campaigns.
  • Experience with the retrieval and uploading of data files to/from multiple systems and environments. Familiarity with relational databases mechanics and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and customer deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with Agentive AI CRM platforms a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience managing and executing high-volume, fast-paced email

Salary range for this role:
Starting salary range based on experience
$83,000$119,000 USD
