The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for conducting the full cycle of accounts payable including processing the payables, invoices, data entry, etc., ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of invoices for payment. We are looking for an energetic team player that can process large volumes of invoices. Daily responsibilities include invoice scanning, credit memo processing, coding and entering invoices and performing reconciliations on a weekly basis.

You will:

  • Review invoices and credit memos for appropriate documentation, accuracy, and authorization
  • Work with the GL Accounts team to ensure appropriate coding e.g., expense, fixed assets etc.
  • Perform invoice and general ledger entry, including account coding
  • Format and import MS Excel and csv files to AP system for large invoice volumes
  • Reconcile vendor statements weekly
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Audit and process expense reimbursements via the Concur and Ramp Travel & Expense systems
  • Communicate with internal & external partners to obtain missing invoices, information or resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute accrual and statement reconciliation files
  • Analyze and process invoices processed via third party suppliers
  • Work on special/ad hoc projects as required
  • Perform corporate card administration functions including issuance, cancellation etc.

Desired experience:

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Previous experience with Coupa, SAP Concur and Oracle Fusion preferred
  • Ability to perform a high volume of manual entries with extreme accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is absolutely required
  • Understanding of GL accounting and basic principles e.g., expense, fixed asset coding etc.
  • Be agile and able to work as a team player to assist others as needed
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Change management skills
  • Previous experience with a restaurant company a plus
