About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FP&A professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This role is crucial in driving business finance activities, sales forecasting, sales analysis, and funnel analysis while collaborating with Sales and Marketing leadership to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.

The candidate will also manage annual bookings/sales budgets, monthly forecasting, and participate in acquisition integration. This individual will have significant interaction with the highest levels of the senior management at Cvent Inc. who are based out of our McLean USA, London UK and Gurugram India offices


In This Role, You Will:

Sales Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Own sales forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis across regions/products/segments
  • Analyze ARR, bookings, pipeline, renewals, churn, and net revenue retention
  • Partner with Sales and RevOps to track quota attainment, coverage ratios, and productivity metrics
  • Support annual planning, quarterly re‑forecasts, and long‑range planning for sales org

Sales Strategy & Business Insights

  • Drive strategic analysis on GTM motions, pricing, segmentation, and account prioritization
  • Support ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) definition, TAM, SAM
  • Identify growth opportunities across cross‑sell, upsell, and whitespace analysis
  • Conduct deep‑dive analyses for leadership on performance gaps and improvement opportunities

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering

  • Act as a thought partner to Sales Leaders, Strategy, RevOps, and Finance
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with Analytics/BI teams to standardize metrics and improve reporting accuracy
  • Ensure data governance and metric alignment across FP&A, Sales Ops, and Strategy

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive touchless reporting and automation initiatives
  • Support implementation of new tools and dashboards (CRM, BI, planning tools)

Here's What You Need:

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in financial planning & analysis, business finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Adaptive Insights data analysis tools or equivalent CRM or data analytics tool would be preferrable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • MBA or CFA preferred.
