In This Role, You Will:
- Requirement Analysis & Technical Leadership: Lead technical requirement and impact analysis for Android application features. Define technical dependencies and acceptance criteria for development sprints.
- Architecture & Research: Conduct research on Android frameworks and mobile technologies. Prepare high-level design documentation and provide architectural guidance.
- Software Development: Design and implement modular, scalable Android application code using Dagger, JavaRX, SQLite, and Retrofit; build advanced UI components and ensure functionality in offline and low-network environments as well as develop reusable libraries and frameworks to support team projects.
- Process & Quality Leadership: Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation and establish testing protocols and oversee unit, integration, and automated testing. Perform peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in Android development practices and also collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sprint goals and deliverables.
- Production Support & Continuous Improvement: Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Android production issues and implement improvements to tools, processes, and frameworks.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to Android product roadmap by identifying risks, opportunities, and technical solutions.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field + 36 months of experience as Software Engineer or similar role or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field + 12 months of experience as Software Engineer or similar role
- Programming Languages: Java SE, PL/SQL, JavaScript
- Frontend Technologies: React, GraphQL
- Web Services: RESTful API Development, API Documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), OAuth2, JWT
- Databases & Search Engines: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Couchbase, OpenSearch
- Version Control: Git
- Substantial expertise in collaboration & methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Code Review, Technical Mentoring, DevOps Collaboration.
