Cvent’s Global Demand Center (GDC) is seeking a strategic, AI-focused marketer to drive our Marketing AI portfolio and AI Center of Excellence. In this high-impact role, you will set best practices and shape how Cvent realizes the full potential of AI in marketing by building trusted, responsible AI and automation that amplifies human creativity into measurable, repeatable growth.
In this role, you will define, prioritize, and govern marketing’s AI roadmap, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business priorities, technically sound, and compliant with enterprise standards. In This Role, You Will:
- Lead an outcome-driven Marketing AI portfolio
- Own the portfolio and roadmap for marketing AI use cases, ensuring tight alignment with business goals and Marketing leadership priorities.Own the intake-to-value lifecycle for AI projects: from idea, to business case,
- to pilot, to scaled deployment.
- Partner with AI advocates across marketing sub-departments to drive adoption and identify high-value, near-term use cases for core marketing flows.
- Operationalize AI across marketing
- Co-own the Marketing AI system architecture, spanning martech platforms, AI/automation engineering, and technical governance.
- Scale AI adoption through shared platforms, strong enablement, a standardized data layer, and reusable solutions that accelerate time-to-value and deliver consistent, measurable outcomes.
- Shape Marketing’s AI system architecture
- Design and evolve Marketing’s AI system architecture to support cross-functional use cases (e.g., content, analytics, creative, orchestration).
- Own technical controls and final reviews with IT, Security, and Compliance, including guardrails, release criteria, and support for AI tool and vendor selection.
- Define and maintain governance policies, standards, and documentation for marketing AI use (including risk, compliance, and quality).
- Partner on data and analytics for AI
- Develop and steward requirements for clean, governed, integrated, and usable data products that power marketing AI.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to automate dashboards and reporting that track AI adoption, performance, and ROI.
- Measure impact and scale what works
- Establish and track clear success metrics for AI initiatives (e.g., time saved, cost avoidance, pipeline/revenue impact, quality improvements).
- Evaluate rolling performance post-launch and use those insights to decide what to scale, iterate, or retire.
- Drive enablement and change management
- Partner with enablement and operations teams to build playbooks, trainings, and communication plans that drive AI adoption across Marketing.
- Work closely with AI champions and functional leaders to embed AI into core workflows and ensure a consistent, governed approach.
Here's What You Need:
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or revenue operations, including at least 3 years leading AI projects.
- Proven ability to manage multi-phase AI projects in a complex global environment, from initial discovery through scaled deployment.
- Demonstrated success driving stakeholder alignment and change management in fast paced, ambiguous, and matrixed organizations.
- Advanced understanding of AI concepts and significant hands-on experience with tools such as:
- ChatGPT
- Microsoft Azure OpenAI
- Claude
- Google Gemini
- Glean and similar enterprise AI platforms
- Copy.ai, Jasper, Writer, etc.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional project management skills across planning, stakeholder communication, and dependency management in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Demonstrated executive presence and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build cohesive, customer-focused teams.
- Skilled at crafting clear technical and business documentation and simplifying complex concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
