About this role:
This role will lead all Hospitality cloud database & research projects, segmentation and competitive insights related initiatives. He / She will engage with key executives and peers to prioritize and execute work and provide guidance to the team. The goal is to build strategy & deliver on the promise of credible & reliable database for Marketing & Sales teams at Cvent Hospitality cloud. This person will be responsible for overseeing all the Marketing Database acquisition, enrichment, management and Competitive Insights.
In This Role, You Will:
- Be the expert on the global hospitality industry - market landscape, industry segmentation and target audience related to Advertising & Software Solutions
- Owner of Global Marketing Database Strategy & Delivery for Hospitality Cloud.
- Accountable for building & maintaining database for hospitality accounts (Hotels, Chains, Convention Bureaus, Other Venues etc.) through research & other secondary sources
- Accountable to keep the Cvent Supplier Network portal updated in coordination with various customers, technology team & customer support teams for the global venues.
- Accountable for building & maintaining the relevant & exhaustive global persona contact database for various global campaigns in coordination with product marketing, demand gen team, central database maintenance and warehousing team, legal, analytics & sales teams.
- Ensuring compliance of Global Privacy laws (e.g. GDPR) for the database in coordination with various stakeholders within Cvent including legal and security teams.
- Act as a proactive and inspirational leader for a global team of over 25+ people for Hospitality Cloud Marketing Database & Research team
- Ensuring the team provides relevant reports, insights, analysis/interpretation/application of data and informs strategic business decisions and drive sales by utilizing database to derive various sales & marketing initiatives
- Drive process improvements and increase efficiencies; implement new tools and templates for faster turnaround and standardization. Exposure to RPA, AI and other newer technologies is very desired
- Drive overall organizational effectiveness and growth, and set up team for scalability
- Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of delivery and develop standard dashboards and templates to drive scalability of offerings
Here's What You Need:
- B.S. Degree Business, Economics or related field. MBA preferred.
- 18+ years of demonstrated success in CRM, Database Marketing, Market Research for B2B technology companies
- 8-10 years of experience in managing a team of technically advanced secondary market researchers focused on database acquisition, segmentation and CRM programs in marketing
- Passionate about producing high-quality deliverables and communicating results to a broad audience.
- Strong extensive exposure to CRM (SFDC), Automation (RPA), Marketo & reporting/visualization tools
- Strong experience as a power user for Excel is a MUST
- Good statistical background and experience with SQL, R, and SAS & other analytical tools is desirable
- Self-motivated, independent, organized and proactive, highly responsive, flexible and adaptable when working across organization at varied levels.
