Goldcast is Cvent’s B2B video content and virtual events platform, helping marketers and event teams create, host, and repurpose engaging webinars, digital experiences, and hybrid events. As part of the Goldcast engineering team, you’ll build scalable, reliable experiences that power live and on-demand video, interactive engagement, and deep analytics for our customers.

This is a great opportunity for a software engineer who enjoys working on modern web applications, solving complex technical problems, and collaborating closely with product, design, and other engineering teams.


In This Role, You Will:

As a Software Engineer on the Goldcast team, you will design, build, and maintain features across our event and video platform, with a focus on high-quality code, performance, and reliability. You’ll work in an agile environment, contribute to technical decisions, and help ensure a great experience for customers and attendees.

Additionally, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable services and APIs that power Goldcast’s virtual events, webinars, and content experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements and user journeys into well-designed technical solutions.
  • Contribute to front-end experiences (such as event pages, attendee views, and engagement components) using modern web technologies.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards and share best practices.
  • Help improve the performance, reliability, and observability of the Goldcast platform, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Work within an agile team, participating in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Partner with other Cvent teams (infrastructure, data, security, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of Goldcast capabilities across the broader Cvent ecosystem.
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and tools, and proactively suggest improvements to our architecture, tooling, and processes.

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional experience developing software in a modern programming language (for example: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Experience building web applications or services, including working with RESTful APIs and common web frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and basic data modeling.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, agile environment, including participating in code reviews and iterative development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to teammates and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue, or similar component-based frameworks).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to real-time or streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, WebSockets, live video or media streaming workflows).
  • Prior work on SaaS platforms, especially B2B products or event/marketing technology.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
