The Cvent Analytics team is hiring a Lead Analyst. The selected candidate will focus on delivering high-impact, data-driven insights to support our Sales teams and elevate customer conversations using Cvent’s rich sourcing and product data.
In This Role, You Will:
Strategic Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as a senior analytical partner to the US-based Sales organization, shaping account strategy and annual account plans aligned with revenue goals.
- Strengthening stakeholder relationships by deeply understanding business objectives and ensuring insights translate into measurable actions.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to support revenue-driving initiatives, including win-back programs, churn reduction efforts, renewal optimization, and promotional campaigns.
Advanced Analytics, AI, & Insight Generation
- Apply AI-powered analytical approaches—predictive modeling, customer clustering, natural language insights, and automated analysis—to scale insight generation.
- Conduct customer churn analysis, retention analysis, and closed-lost analysis to identify root causes, behavioral patterns, and opportunities to improve customer lifetime value.
- Analyze user behavior, customer segmentation, product adoption trends, and market movements to identify growth levers.
- Drive incremental revenue opportunity projects, uncovering whitespace, upsell potential, and underpenetrated segments with clear recommendations for Sales.
Cross-Functional & Data Science Collaboration
- Partner with data science teams to frame analytical needs, validate models, and enhance insight workflows.
- Translate business problems into analytical requirements and collaborate on developing scalable data-driven solutions.
Data Storytelling & Communication
- Deliver compelling data narratives using expert visualization and storytelling across PowerPoint and modern BI tools.
- Present insights to internal and client-facing stakeholders in a structured and business-focused manner.
- Develop scalable market insights and customer intelligence content for internal office hours, webinars, Sales enablement, and industry-facing publications.
Operational Excellence & Execution
- Own the end-to-end delivery of recurring and ad-hoc analytical workstreams, ensuring quality, timeliness, and repeatability.
- Partner with peer analysts to refine customer segmentation frameworks that guide prioritization, support matrix design, and customer journey analysis.
Here's What You Need:
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in analytics, consulting, strategy, or similar data-driven roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, statistics, sciences, mathematics, or engineering with strong academic performance.
- Exposure to working with data science teams and understanding of model development workflows.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL or Snowflake and advanced Excel.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint with strong storyboarding and insight communication skills.
- AI proficiency—experience applying ML/AI for segmentation, churn modeling, predictive analytics, LLM-powered analysis, or automated insights.
- Solid understanding of customer segmentation, behavioral analytics, retention modeling, and lifecycle analysis.
Communication & Stakeholder Leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to structure insights clearly and logically.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and align cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering insights to large or senior audiences.
