Cvent’s Reposite Platform Engineering team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our AI-powered vendor and supplier sourcing experience for group travel and events. Acquired in 2024, Reposite now powers the Cvent Vendor Marketplace across categories like transportation, restaurants, entertainment, staffing, and gifting. You’ll partner with product, design, and data/ML to ship secure, high-performance services for planners and suppliers.
We’re seeking deep experience in TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, Next.js, React, and Infrastructure as Code, design and deliver scalable, resilient solutions that help accelerate our marketplace capabilities and elevate the experience for both event planners and suppliers.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Design, build, and evolve core Reposite platform features (supplier discovery and matching, RFP workflows, quote/proposal creation, and payments), emphasizing scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Drive architectural decisions and long-term technical roadmaps in partnership with technical leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Improve planner and supplier experiences end-to-end by removing friction in sourcing, quoting, and collaboration.
  • Implement and optimize APIs and services (including GraphQL) that power planner and supplier interfaces, integrations, and analytics.
  • Champion CI/CD, operational excellence, and observability to ensure fast, safe, and reliable delivery.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and patterns (AI-assisted workflows, search and ranking, edge delivery) and bring pragmatic solutions to the platform.
  • Support internal and external consumers of platform services; enable adoption, upgrades, and best practices.

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
  • Highly proficient in at least one object-oriented language; Java or C# a plus.
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for web application development; experience with React and Next.js preferred.
  • Proficient with CI/CD concepts and tooling; able to configure and manage pipelines for fast, safe, and reliable deployments.
  • Practical experience with AWS (e.g., CloudFront, ECS, S3, DynamoDB) and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong passion for software craftsmanship, code quality, testing, and maintainability.

Bonus:

  • Experience with marketplace platforms, search/relevance, or recommendation systems.
  • Experience with RFP/workflow systems, quoting, and proposal generation.
  • Experience with payments and billing (e.g., Stripe) and associated security/compliance considerations.
  • Experience building shared libraries, SDKs, or internal platforms that accelerate product teams.
