The Senior Business Solutions Architect (AI Solutions Architect) is a highly technical thought partner responsible for evaluating, designing, and optimizing business workflows using AI and automation. This role is not a software engineering architecture position; it is focused on rapidly learning new systems, identifying core business challenges, and guiding non-engineering teams to leverage AI or alternative solutions where appropriate. You will lead intake and triage for AI enablement opportunities, architect future-ready business workflows, drive organizational change, and publish reusable playbooks that accelerate value delivery at scale. As a member of the AI Power team, you will act as a hands-on business improvement consultant, supporting stakeholders throughout the Technology Department and serving as the internal subject-matter expert on workflow enhancement, AI ethical use, and adoption strategies.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead discovery and intake: Rapidly evaluate business problems, define project scope, outcomes, guardrails, and success measures for AI enablement and automation projects.
  • Solution architecture: Design and document AI-enabled workflows—selecting tools, prompting patterns, and establishing quality gates, risk controls, and operational guardrails.
  • Business improvement consulting: Partner with business units within the Technology Department to assess whether to leverage AI, improve existing processes, or deploy other technology/automation solutions.
  • Change management: Map stakeholders, lead communications, develop and deliver training plans, track adoption metrics, and ensure sustainability of change.
  • Asset creation: Codify and publish reference architectures, playbooks, SOPs, templates, checklists, and operating guides for reuse across the organization.
  • Enablement & support: Provide office hours, advisory support, and embedded assistance to early–adopting teams; support transition to business-as-usual post-stabilization.
  • Performance reporting: Maintain dashboards and provide leadership with regular updates on adoption, impact, and value creation.
  • Risk and ethics: Ensure all AI initiatives align with strategic and ethical guidelines; remain current on advances in AI, automation, and technology-driven business process improvement.
  • Community building: Model a culture of experimentation and continuous learning, champion knowledge-sharing and peer learning, and actively support upskilling across teams.
  • Internal consultancy: Triage and execute 6–10 enablement engagements per year, delivering 8–12 reusable assets to scale impact.

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years in IT, solutions architecture, or technical consulting with demonstrated expertise in business process improvement, workflow automation, or technical solution delivery.
  • Proven ability to evaluate business processes, define problem statements, and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML principles, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and digital transformation best practices.
  • Experience managing programs or projects with multiple stakeholders, ideally in environments driving organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support change management, including stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption measurement.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills (able to codify and publish reusable assets).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to drive results with minimal supervision in ambiguous situations.
  • Highly collaborative; able to work effectively across business-facing and technical teams.

  • Hands-on expertise with GenAI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Roo), digital process automation (RPA, low-code/no-code tools), and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks, business analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certifications in cloud (AWS, Azure), process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), or AI/machine learning a plus.
  • Experience supporting non-engineering stakeholders inside enterprise environments.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring teams highly valued.
