Solo tracks data across multiple platforms to provide city-level pay and performance benchmarks, including hour-by-hour earnings predictions that Solo guarantees, making up the difference if pay is less.

About you and the role:

You’re energized by working directly with customers and translating their needs into action. You thrive on solving real problems, spotting patterns, and turning messy signals into clear next steps. You’re comfortable in an early-stage environment where priorities shift, speed matters, and ownership is expected.

This is a customer-first generalist role on the GTM team, reporting to the Head of Growth. You’ll own the frontline customer experience while using those insights to improve operations, inform product decisions, and support growth initiatives across the GTM team’s marketing, partnerships, and affiliate programs. Customer success isn’t a side function here — it’s a core input into how Solo builds, learns, and scales. You move quickly, iterate often, and understand that progress beats perfection.

What you’ll do:

  • Own frontline customer experience by responding to user inquiries with clarity, empathy, and efficiency
  • Use customer insights to drive improvements across operations, product feedback loops, and growth initiatives
  • Execute and streamline customer and operational workflows by identifying bottlenecks and building lightweight, repeatable processes — automating where possible
  • Drive the feedback loop between customers, operations, and product by synthesizing user insights and helping prioritize feedback against the roadmap
  • Support growth initiatives including lifecycle marketing (email, SMS, push), partnerships, and affiliate programs
  • Write and produce customer-facing content to support Solo’s product offering, including support responses, help center content, and campaign copy
  • Own operational and efficiency metrics, spotting trends and surfacing recommendations
  • Apply analytical and quantitative thinking to inform decisions and improve processes (experience using Excel/SQL a plus)
  • Contribute across the business as priorities evolve — comfortable owning both foundational work and ambiguous projects — as we build from the ground up

You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Have experience operating in a startup or high-urgency environment
  • Enjoy being a generalist and jumping between customer experience, operations, growth, and marketing to move the business forward
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and bias toward action — you take pride in simply getting things done
  • Are a self-starter who can operate independently when needed
  • Naturally put yourself in the shoes of our users and can help craft the right message and tone
  • Have a low ego and are comfortable engaging in candid discussions about the company and its direction

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in customer operations, support, growth, marketing, account management, or similar roles — ideally in a startup or fast-growing company
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations where priorities and problem sets can shift rapidly
  • Strong decision-making instincts with the ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs based on business impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across internal and external audiences
  • Ability to collaborate with team members of all levels and focus areas
  • Comfortable working with data, identifying insights, and translating them into clear recommendations

What We Offer:

  • Ground floor opportunity with a substantial equity stake
  • Medical, dental, & vision insurance
  • 401k
  • Flexible, hybrid work schedule (in office Monday, Wednesday, Friday) with the opportunity to to build in person relationships, while also accommodating personal priorities
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • In-building gym membership
  • Opportunity to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers in your community
