Position Summary

Prose, the leader in personalized beauty, is seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to join our Digital Product team. In this role, you will be critical in redefining personalization in the beauty industry through innovative technology and design. You will be responsible for driving customer acquisition initiatives and focusing on upper and mid-funnel strategies to improve our consultation experience, as well as key pages like our homepage, landing pages, product pages, and brand pages. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Designers, UX Researchers, Product Owners, Engineers, and Growth stakeholders, and report to our Sr Director of Product Management. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product management, analytics, e-commerce, agile methodologies, and roadmap/backlog management.

This is a hybrid role based in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn headquarters. Candidates based in the New York City area can expect a base salary that ranges from $105,000 - $115,000. Ultimate compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the digital strategy to drive upper funnel engagement and fuel lower funnel traffic, creating and executing on the digital acquisition roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead the vision for experimentation and AB Testing within the acquisition space to help understand what experiences resonate with Prospect customers and drive the behaviors that will improve your metrics.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities that optimize product discovery, engagement, and purchase including Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), SEO, and brand activation initiatives for new Prospects coming from different channels.
  • For new physical product launches, lead the upper-funnel digital strategy, including planning, execution, and measurement of results.
  • Collaborate with researchers and designers to uncover opportunities and customer needs, and work together to design and validate solutions that meet those needs.
  • Partner with Tech on scoping, prioritizing, timeline planning, and validating new feature development.
  • Define and monitor metrics that align with acquisition strategic outcomes, while also measuring the success of the product.

Key Candidate Requirements

  • 2-3 years of Product Management experience in e-commerce.
  • Experience developing high-level roadmaps and vision, while maintaining a focus on incremental deliverables and steps towards a plan.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions from insights platforms such as heap, google analytics, looker.
  • Ability to use data to ground discovery efforts and prioritization decisions, discover insights, and effectively communicate the value and impact of the work.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, deals well with ambiguity, and focuses on delivering quantifiable business or customer value.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as stakeholder management skills.
  • Bonus: Past experience within the beauty industry and/or managing a third-party digital agency.
