The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and versatile People Operations and Talent Partner to join the growing People team at Fancy. This is a dynamic role for someone who loves building and maintaining thoughtful people systems while staying close to the day-to-day needs of employees.
The ideal candidate is a reliable utility player with a passion for creating thoughtful, people-centered experiences. You’ll support key People Operations functions, lead onboarding and offboarding workflows, coordinate recruiting efforts, help maintain compliance across systems and processes, and serve as a go-to resource for global employment logistics. This role is perfect for someone excited to work cross-functionally and grow in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end recruiting including intake with hiring managers, job description drafting, sourcing via LinkedIn, candidate communication and database management, candidate prescreens, interview coordination, offer creation, reference checks, background screenings, and start date coordination
  • Coordinate and track onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities
  • Maintain and improve internal people operations systems and records, including compliance workflows
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment communications
  • Assist in employee relations documentation, survey coordination, and policy updates
  • Help build scalable people operations processes across tools (e.g., Notion, Monday.com, Slack)
  • Provide operational and administrative support across People Operations functions
  • Create a format and regular cadence for reporting out on people operations and recruiting objectives and performance to senior leadership
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees with HR or people operations related questions or issues
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, People Ops, or a related coordination role
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and empathetic communication style
  • Experience supporting visa and immigration processes (H-1B, OPT, etc.) a strong plus
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets and modern HR and people operations platforms
  • Interest in startup culture and helping people teams scale thoughtfully
  • A curiosity for learning and growing and understanding the evolving needs of the business

Bonus points if you...

  • Have a bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred but not required)
  • Support national and international employment logistics and management

What You’ll Get

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents
  • Catered lunches provided daily
  • Unlimited PTO; we trust you to take the time you need
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Equity opportunity (where applicable)
  • Monthly WellHub wellness reimbursement
  • A mission-driven, startup culture that encourages curiosity, ownership, and showing up as your full self
